History[]
Yagoona station opened on 16 July 1928, when the Bankstown line was extended from Bankstown to Regents Park.
Planning is underway for a station upgrade at Yagoona as part of the Transport Access Program, to improve accessibility at the station. The upgrade is expected to be completed in 2023.[2]
Platforms and Services[]
Yagoona has a signle island platform with faces on both tracks of the Bankstown line. It is served by all-stations trains on the T3 Bankstown line, usually with a train every 15 minutes in each direction. Express trains pass through without stopping on weekdays.
When Sydney Metro City & Southwest opens, the network will be reconfigured such that Yagoona is served by shuttle services operating between Lidcombe and Bankstown.
