Tweed Light Rail is a proposed cross-state infrastructure project that would link Tweed Heads and Coolangatta (QLD) by Light Rail. As of 2019, the NSW Government has pledged $1 million into "strategic planning" for the route.[1] Gold Coast City Council has also indicated the possibility of linking the line with its Gold Coast Light Rail (G:Link) system, also in planning to connect to Coolangatta via Broadbeach.[2]
