The Bays metro station is an upcoming station on the Sydney Metro West line of the Sydney Metro network in Sydney, Australia. It will service the suburbs of Rozelle, Balmain and Blackwattle Bay. The station will be located on Port Access Road, near Robert Street.
Construction[]
The following is the construction timeframe for stage one works: [1]
- Enabling and demolition works: Q3 2021
- Station excavation: Q3 2021 - Q2 2023
- Tunnel boring machine support services and spoil removal: Q3 2022 - Q2 2024
Configuration[]
The Bays will be a fully underground station. It is specifically designed to take pressure off of the existing T1 Western Line.
