Tarro railway station is a station located on the Main North railway line. The station consists of 2 platforms in a double side formation. It serves the suburb of Tarro.

History[]

The station opened on 5 April 1857 as Hexham. It was renamed to Tarro on 1 August 1871, when the new Hexham station was opened. The station closed on 10 June 1974 and was reopened at an unknown date. [1]

Platforms and Services[]

The station is served by Hunter Line services, usually at the frequency of 1 per hour. Both platforms are 124m (almost 5 cars) long. It is not marked as a short platform because Hunter line trains do not exceed 4 cars.
