Springwood railway station is a station located on the Main Western Line, in the Blue Mountains region. The station consists of 2 platforms, in a single island formation. Access to the station is via an accessible subway from Macquarie Road and Station St. There is a large commuter carpark at the station.

The loading gauge of the line fomerly changed west of Springwood, with only trains in the narrow width class allowed to pass. The line has since been widened as part of enabling works for the New Intercity Fleet.

History[]

Springwood Station opened on 11 July 1867.

Platforms and Services[]

The station is normally served by one train per hour in each direction, with more during the peaks. Springwood is an express stop for Blue Mountains Line services (including the Bathurst Bullet service). There are also crossovers to the east of the station, which are used by occasional terminating peak hour services.
