Quakers Hill railway station is located along the Richmond branch line and is 40.1km from Central.[1] It serves the suburb of Quakers Hill as well as a nearby Western Sydney University campus. The station consists of 1 Island (forming 2 platforms) and is accessed by a lift-enabled overhead footbridge. Quakers Hill is serviced by T1 Western and T5 Cumberland Line trains in both directions.

The station is staffed from 6am to 7pm on weekdays (Mon-Fri), and 8am to 4pm on weekends.[2]

History[]

The tracks through the station were electrified in 1975. The station had a crossing loop until the line from Marayong was duplicated to Quakers Hill in 2002. In 2011 the second track was extended to Schofields.

An easy access upgrade involving the construction of a new overhead concourse was completed in 2011. Prior to the Easy Access upgrade, the station had an overhead ticket office attached to a footbridge. This caused some congestion due the narrowness of the footbridge and the position of the ticket office. The ticket office is now conveniently placed on the platform. This has seriously helped the recent population growth in Quakers Hill and other surrounding areas.

Platforms[]

The station is served by four trains per hour (tph) each way during the off-peak, dropping to 2tph at night, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.

Crossovers south of the station allow trains to terminate on either platform. This is done by most weekend T5 trains.
