Riverwood Padstow Revesby

Padstow is a station on the East Hills railway line of the Sydney Trains network, serving the south-western Sydney suburb of the same name. Station entry is through stairs and a lift from an overpass on Memorial Drive, near Howard Road.

Padstow is staffed from 6:00am to 7:00pm on weekdays, and 8:00am to 4:00pm on weekends and public holidays.[1]

History

Padstow station opened on 21 December 1931 when the line was extended from Kingsgrove to East Hills.

On 5 May 1986, the line was duplicated from Riverwood with a new track laid to the north of the existing one. The line from Padstow to Revesby was duplicated around the same time.

In 2013, as part of the quadruplication of the line from Kingsgrove to Revesby, through lines were added on either side of the existing pair.

From July 2014 to May 2015, a new commuter car park was built at Padstow. The car park was part of the Transport Access Program and added 100 car spaces.[2]

Platforms and Services

Padstow is served by Sydney Trains T8 services. Only 4 all stations services per hour stop at most times. Prior to 2018, express trains also stopped, however they now only stop during the peak, in the peak direction, at a frequency of 4 trains per hour.
