Otford railway station is a station located on the South Coast Line. The station consists of 2 platforms, in a double side formation. Access to the station is provided from Lady Carrington Road.

History[]

Otford railway station opened on 3 October 1888 with a single platform and no building. However, in 1890, a second platform was added and a weatherboard building was erected.

Between 1977 and 1986, many features at Otford were removed. In the late 1970’s, the toilet was removed, in 1985, the 1915 signal box and in 1986, the booking office and waiting room were removed. The current footbridge was added in early 1985, and the line from Helensburgh to Coalcliff was electrified in August 1985. The original 1890 weatherboard building was also replaced by the current structure in 1986. Other than signage and the installation of tactile surfaces, the station has been largely unchanged for almost 40 years.

The station is served by NSW TrainLink South Coast Line trains. Usually there is one stopping train per hour in each direction, with more during peak periods.
