Olympic Park metro station is an upcoming station on the Sydney Metro West line of the Sydney Metro network in Sydney, Australia. It will service the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, with a possible interchange with Parramatta Light Rail (Stage 2).[1] The station will be located on Olympic Boulevard, near Herb Elliott Avenue and Figtree Drive, south of the existing heavy rail station.
Construction[]
The following is the construction timeframe for stage one works: [2]
- Enabling and demolition works: Q4 2021 - Q1 2022
- Station box excavation: Q2 2022 - Q4 2023
- Tunnel boring machine retrieval: Q2 2024, Q1 2026
Configuration[]
Olympic Park will be a fully underground station. It will reduce pressure on the Main Western railway line during major events in the precinct.
