Narara railway station is a station on NSW's Central Coast, on the Main Northern railway line. The station has two platforms and is served by NSW TrainLink's intercity Central Coast & Newcastle Line services.
The station has commuter carparks on both sides of the station. Bike lockers are also available to hire from TfNSW. The station is unattended at all times.
History[]
Narara station opened on 15th August 1887.[1]
In the early 2020s, two new lifts were built, and various other accessibility improvements were made, at Narara as part of the Transport Access Program. Construction began in July 2020 and finished in October 2021.[2][3]
Free WiFi is currently available at this station as part of a trial of free WiFi along the Central Coast Line.
Platforms and services[]
The station is served by all stations Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains, which typically run hourly in both directions, with extra services during the peak. Express trains pass by without stopping. The platforms are only 4 cars long, so passengers must alight from the rear 4 cars on an 8 car train.
