Murrurundi is a railway station located on the NSW TrainLink Regional North Western line. The station consists of 1 platform in a side formation. It serves the town of Murrurundi.
History[]
Murrurundi station opened on 4 April 1872. [1] The station served as the terminus of the line until it was extended to Quirindi on 13 August 1877.
A toilet block was constructed in 1891. The station platform was extended in 1895 and again in 1912. [2]
The station was added to the NSW State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. [3]

Murrurundi has a single side platform on the main line. A yard formerly existed opposite to the station.
Services[]
Murrurundi station is served by the Northern Tablelands Express Xplorer every day going from Sydney to Moree and Armidale and back. The Moree and Armidale services are part of the same train, until they get to Werris Creek, where the train divides. The Sydney service departs at 12:04pm, while the Armidale and Moree services depart at 2:03pm. The station is a request stop, so trains only stop if passengers are booked to use the station. [4]
