Mount Victoria railway station is a station located on the Blue Mountains line. The station consists of 2 platforms, in a single island formation. Access to the station is provided from Patrick Street. The weekly Sydney-bound Indian Pacific train also stops here.
History[]
Mount Victoria station opened on 6 September 1869, with one platform.[1]
The station formerly had a refreshment room, opening in 1884 and closing in 1957. The second platform opened in 1911, and with it came an elevated signal box, that is still in use today, and a footbridge, also still in use today.[2]
The station was added to the NSW State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.[3]
