Railway Systems[]
- Sydney Metro: An automated rapid-transit system running from Tallawong to Chatswood. It is currently being extended to the CBD and will replace the T3 Bankstown line by 2024.
Railway Lines[]
- Metro North West Line: A rapid-transit line running from Tallawong to Chatswood, with interchanges at Epping and Chatswood. The line consists of 13 stations, including 8 new exclusive stations from Tallawong to Cherrybrook.
- Sydney Metro City & Southwest: An upcoming rapid-transit line running from Chatswood to Bankstown via Central. It is scheduled to open in 2024, with 18 stations including 5 new metro-only stations (and 13 former heavy rail stations).
- Sydney Metro West: An upcoming rapid-transit line that runs between Parramatta and Sydney CBD. There are nine confirmed stations (5 new) with one station dropped (Rydalmere) .
- Sydney Metro Greater West: A proposed rapid-transit line that would run between Western Sydney (Nancy Bird Walton) International Airport and St Marys station (with other proposed links to Glenfield via Leppington (and possibly Edomondson Park, Leppington and Edomondson Park are likely to be converted to metro stations) and Macarthur). It is expected to open with the new Airport in 2026.
