Lindfield railway station, is on the North Shore railway line of the Sydney Trains network. It serves the suburbs of Lindfield and East Lindfield. The station has three platforms, connected to an overhead concourse with exits onto Pacific Highway and Lindfield Avenue.
Lindfield is staffed from 6:00am to 10:00pm everyday.[1]
History[]
Lindfield station opened on 1 January 1890 when the North Shore line opened from Hornsby to St Leonards.
By 1900, the line south of Lindfield had been duplicated with the platform converted to an island platform, this was extended north in 1909. By 1922, a new side platform had been opened on the eastern side, with the middle platform becoming a terminating road.
Platforms and Services[]
Lindfield is served by all T1 North Shore Line and T9 Northern Line trains. It is also an intermediate terminus for T1 services and a few peak T9 services.
