The stop consists of 2 side platforms in a staggered configuration with a level crossing in the middle. The stop has a single entrance off Darley Road to the westbound platform. Immediately east of the stop is a tunnel taking the line under the City West Link (A4) towards Lilyfield.
The stop is served by regular L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services in both directions, towards Central and Dulwich Hill, between 4am and 12am daily. Passengers can also change for buses, which depart from Norton St.
Leichhardt North is the nearest station to Leichhardt Oval, which hosts NRL Wests Tigers and A-League Sydney FC home games.
