Hexham railway station is a station located on the Main North railway line. The station consists of 2 platforms in a double side formation. It serves the suburb of Hexham. The station is located alongside a large freight yard operated by Aurizon.

History[]

Hexham station opened on 1 August 1871[1].

Platforms and Services[]

The station is served by services on Hunter Line, usually at the frequency of 1 per hour in each direction.

Originally, the platform was longer, however now it has been fenced off to 39 metres, enough for the two middle doors of the train to open. The rest of of the platform is intact but overgrown.
