Denistone railway station is on the Main Northern railway line of the Sydney Trains network. It serves the suburb of Denistone, and nearby areas of West and East Denistone. The station has a footbridge at the northern end, connecting the two island platforms to West Parade. It contains one of Sydney's smaller commuter car-parks. The station is located on a steep 1 in 40 gradient.

Denistone is staffed from 6:00am to 2:00pm on weekdays only.[1]

History[]

Denistone station opened on 26 September 1937 with two side platforms. However they were built with provision to be converted to island platforms at a later date. The western platform so converted on 24 October 1978, and the eastern platform on 27 November 1989 when extra lines were opened.

As part of the Transport Access Program, plans are under way for an accessibility upgrade at the station. The upgrade is expected to be completed in 2023.[2]

Denistone station is located on West Parade (near Gordon Crescent) in Denistone. The station consists of two island platforms, and is served by Sydney Trains T9 Northern Line services.
