Dapto railway station is a station located on the South Coast Line. The station consists of 3 platforms, in a double side formation. Access to the station is provided from Bong Bong Road. Located near the station is a commuter car park, Dapto Bus Interchange and a coach terminal.

History[]

Dapto station opened on 9 January 1887.[1]

In August 2013 construction began on a transport interchange upgrade at Dapto. Improvements included new signage, more bus route and timetable information, new seating in the taxi and bus zones, better lighting, and upgrading footpaths around the station. The upgrade was completed in December 2013. [2]

Planning is underway for another upgrade at Dapto which will further improve accessibility at the station. The upgrade is in its preliminary investigation phase and is expected to be completed in 2022.[3]

Both upgrades are part of the Transport Access Program.
