Canley Vale railway station, is on the Cumberland line and Inner West and Leppington line of the Sydney Trains network. It serves the suburbs of Canley Vale and Canley Heights. Station entry is accessed from First Avenue and Railway Parade. A lift is also available for access to platform 1.
Canley Vale is staffed from 6:00am to 7:00pm on weekdays, and 8:00am to 4:00pm on weekends and public holidays.[1]
History[]
Canley Vale station opened in April 1878.[2]
From November 2013, work commenced on a Station Access Upgrade at Canley Vale. Improvements included new accessible ramps on both sides of the station, as well as additional CCTV surveillance and lighting. The Access upgrade was completed in May 2014.
A new commuter car park was also built that provided over 120 parking spaces. Construction spanned from August 2014 to July 2015.
In the early 2020s, two new lifts were built and other accessibility improvements were made to the station. Construction began in November 2020 and finished in November 2021.
All three of these upgrades are part of the Transport Access Program. [3]
