Bundanoon is a station on the Main Southern railway line, serving the Southern Highlands town of the same name. The station consists of 2 side platforms. Access to the station is provided from Church Street and Erith Street.

History[]

The station opened with the line on 6 Aug 1868, then being named Jordans Crossing. It was later renamed to Jordans Siding in 1878, then Bundanoon in 1881.[1]

The station has two sets of crossovers and a siding, allowing trains to terminate from either direction. The points and signals were formerly controlled from a signal box on platform 2. This has since been closed, with the signals operating automatically when the points are not in use. When the points need to be used, the signals can be remotely returned to stop and the points levers released by the control centre at Junee.[2]

Platforms and Services[]

The station is served by limited NSW TrainLink Southern Highlands Line services. Some southbound services terminate on platform 1 on weekends.

The station is also served by NSW TrainLink Regional Southern line services, however the trains only stop at the station if passengers are booked to use the station.
