Work is currently underway for a station upgrade at Blackheath as part of the Transport Access Program. Key benefits include three new lifts, upgrades to station footpaths and platforms, upgrade to the station footbridge and stairs, and improvements to CCTV, lighting and wayfinding. Construction began in May 2022, with works expected to be completed by around May 2023.[2][3]
