Bell railway station is a station located on the Blue Mountains Line. The station consists of 2 platforms, in a single island formation. The main access to the station is provided from Chifley Road, alternative access is via Sandham Road. Bell has the highest elevation of any station on the Sydney Trains network at 1069m above sea level.
History[]
The station opened in May 1875 as Mount Wilson and was renamed Bell on 1 May 1889 to show that it served the small village of Bell nearby.
Platforms and Services[]
Bell has an island platform formation and is 4 carriages long, with passengers having to ride in the last 4 carriages of any 6 or 8 carriage long train. Bell is a request stop (marked with an a next to the departure time in the timetable). At most times, there is a train every 2 hours in both directions.
