Awaba railway station is a train station located near Newcastle and Toronto in the suburb of Awaba on the Main North railway line. It opened in 1887, and consists of two side platforms. In 1993, the original weatherboard station building on the down platform was damaged in a fire and consequently demolished. It was subsequently replaced by the present lighter-weight structure.
Services[]
The station is served by NSW TrainLink's Central Coast & Newcastle Line services to Newcastle, Gosford and Sydney. Usually there is one train per hour in each direction, with more during peak periods usually at half hour intervals and less at night and on weekends.
